Fife Council  is writing a new Resources (waste) strategy for Fife. To engage communities in developing the plans Resource Efficient Solutions will be hosting workshops for communities members  to consider the waste challenges we face and make contributions to solving them. The results will contribute to the draft strategy.

Come and join in. It gives you an opportunity to input on how we can find solutions to a number of challenges including the following;

·         How we dispose of waste post the 2021 landfill ban?

·         Our current recycling rate is 55% and we divert a further 4% through energy recovery. However 41% of waste still goes to landfill. We only have a few years to change that. How are we going to achieve these targets and what happens if we don’t? –

·         How best we can create a circular economy strategy for Fife.

Workshop events are taking place on the following dates in January

Tuesday 16th    1 – 3. pm        Buckhaven Community Centre, Kinnear Street, Leven

Wednesday 24th    1-3. pm    Fife House, 22 North Street, Committee room 2
