People across the Kingdom are urged to go online to easily access their bin calendar for 2017/19 as Fife Council continues to make cost reductions for services.

As part of the cost reduction of services at Fife Council paper bin calendars will no longer be delivered to all households across Fife, instead residents are required to access the Fife Direct website to view bin collection times.

Residents can access – and enter their postcode to view details of the next bin collection and bin type dates.

For those that do not have easy access to the Internet, Fife Council offer the following advice:

“If you do not have access to a computer, tablet or smartphone you can visit your local library, where computers are available to print your bin calendar. Staff at Fife’s libraries are able to help you with this.

The print cost for a colour bin calendar is 25p.

If you require your bin calendar in an alternative format, such as braille, or you cannot access a library, please call the Recycling Helpline on 03451 55 00 22.”

According to a Fife Council spokesperson, the change to service “is keeping costs down and reducing the impact on the environment by hosting them online.
