Volunteer Moria Crowley approached Alex Rowley’s office as well as Fife Labour Councillors in an attempt to secure an interview with a Labour representative. Unfortunately no one has been able to take up her invitation so we are unable to offer a view from Labour to complement those we have published from the Scottish National Party, Scottish Conservatives and Liberal Democrats.

Shame on Fife Labour. Just shows you what Alex thinks about local democracy – perhaps he’s given up because he knows he can’t hold on to his constituency. I hear the bookies’ odds are now against him winning.

The Spectator (not sure why you are don’t use your own name?)I think Alex would be disappointed he did not manage find time during the campaign to talk to your interviewer. But given your position, can you give me your thoughts on cllr Chisholm’s attendance at Lochgelly Community Council, he has only attended a couple of meetings since being re-elected in 2012. Thats a bit of a slap in the face to local democracy, in my view or is he getting paid less than the labour councillors and does not feel he needs to attend?

The Spectator did not write this article so why are you asking him/her questions?

I was responding to their comments about local democracy and I wanted to get their views on cllr Chisholm non attendance at Lochgelly community council. I was not criticising the lack of a name just wondering why – but you’ve answered that question thanks.
