Growing in Lochgelly the Lochgelly based Environmental Action Group will be busy on Easter Friday putting out planters to help improve the floral displays in the town.

Secretary George Elder says:

We’ve finished making a few planters to keep costs low and we are now in the process of putting these out throughout the town to help brighten the place up.

The group is looking for volunteers that wish to help fill up and plant out the planters.

George adds:

We will be at the Cross at 11:00am and we hope that some residents will come forward and help volunteer on the day. Anyone is welcome to come along

We have all the materials and secured bright and colourful plants that will help enhance the town and would like to thank residents for the continued support they have shown our group.

The group received £1500 from Fife Council to carry out various environmental enhancements throughout the town, including the enhancement of floral displays in Lochgelly.
