With the Scottish Holyrood election around the corner, we hoped we can give political coverage of the proceedings whilst avoiding political bias, by offering a variety of views from across the political spectrum.

With this in mind, we reached out to the wonderful community of r/Scotland on Reddit to help us, and we were swamped with offers from their members to help us with this task (thanks everyone), and we are now planning a series of articles to give local and national coverage as the election progresses with a series of guest authors.

We wish to give a special mention and a warm welcome to Moria Crowley, our newest featured author that will be publishing very shortly.

Moria is a freelance writer. She holds a certification in Political Science from the Université catholique de Louvain and is a recent graduate of the University of North Texas. The pieces for LOCHGELLY aim to be informative and impartial. She may be reached at moria@lochgelly.org.uk.

We have already had a sneak peak into the work by Moria and we are looking forward to sharing her work with our members, supporters and visitors over the next few weeks, as well as the introduction of more authors that have agreed to help and volunteer their time.

As always, anyone is free to contribute to the site, either through the comments or by registering an account and publishing your own articles.

We would like to thank all the new authors for taking the time to give a political analysis of the election over the next few weeks, and look forward to reading what they produce.
