Another ‘process upset’ has occurred at the Mossmorran petrochemical plant resulting in elevated flaring, increased noise pollution, air pollution, and light pollution impacting on communities of Lochgelly, Lumphinnans, Auchtertool and Cowdenbeath.

Flaring began around 9:30am (26th October 2015) and is expected to continue to at least Tuesday morning at the earliest whilst operators bring the plant back to grade to allow the flaring to cease.

If anyone has any concerns or complaints please contact SEPA by phoning SEPA’s Pollution Hotline on 0800 807 060.
