Jazz legend, Joe Temperley, aged 85 is set to return to his home town of Lochgelly to perform at the Lochgelly Centre on Saturday 7th March, playing alongside Brian Kelley.

Joe was born in Lochgelly on the 20th September 1929 and is a skilled musician, playing a variety of instruments, but is more recognised for his musical skills with the baritone saxophone and bass clarinet.
Joe has a long musical career playing with many artists, including performing alongside Frank Sinatra, Ella Fitzgerald, Aretha Franklin, with his first major music breakthrough performing with Humphrey Lyttelton’s band.
Joe has further went on to perform with a variety of orchestras, as well as many musical scores for films, including ‘When Harry Met Sally’.
Prior to the concert, Joe will be giving a private audience to the Fife Youth Jazz Orchestra (FYJO), a group which rehearses every Thursday at Lochgelly Centre, which Joe is also a long serving guest mentor.
