Wind turbines are not efficient, not cost effective, not practical for industrial applications. They are the cause of a myriad of negative symptoms from people who have had wind turbines erected near their homes. The noises they produce, can be intolerable.
Do what is best for your constituents. Just say NO!

Shellie – you make some statements but I don’t see any reputable data to back them up.
Non-Efficiency – how did measure the efficiency quotient and where is your data?
Not-cost effective – what basis of efficiency did you use and where is the data?
Non practicality for industry – what industrial research data collection did you use and where can I find your results?

Where are the data for the myriad negative symptoms (not including psychosomatic symptoms).

Where are the decibel readings that I can access that support your statement that the noise can be ‘intolerable’?

Why don’t you do a wee bit of reading on the subject at hand. All I had to do was read through the information provided here (with references, I might add)

      http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Environmental_impact_of_wind_power

      and here: https://www.gov.uk/government/uploads/system/uploads/attachment_data/file/69222/pb-13584-windfarm-noise-statutory-nuisance.pdf

A google search throws up 265,000 items relating to wind turbine noise pollution.

In any case, I get that you don’t like wind turbines and have made non-substantiated emotional statements.

What alternative do you have in mind that will be as environmentally sound as wind turbines? Have you, in fact, got an alternative other than fossil fuels?

Are you a wind industry shill? Do you get paid for spreading your propaganda? Several things you seemingly forgot too mention, such as…

The toxic lakes in China caused by mining for the rare minerals that your turbines require.

The carbon-footprint of steel and concrete manufacture.

        Transportation pollution.

The environmental damage done to the ground and area where the wind farms are sited. Industrialisation of the countryside.

        Bird-kill, bat-kill, destruction of wild-life habitat.

The filling of land-fill sites with turbine blades which can’t be recycled… amazing the amount of space they take up.

Fuel-poverty as you bleed dry the households paying the billions in subsidies paid to the wind industry… a very lucrative business for the few.

You do realise that no turbines operate on their own, and need to be powered from the grid, as well as needing constant back-up power?

The more one looks into the whole scam of this industry, the more one can understand that money is the sole reason for these environmentally damaging turbines.

Ah, old-fashioned greed, power and corruption… well, there’s a new one eh!

Wind turbines are a money-making ponzi scheme, subsidized to the hilt through our bills, paid whether they turn or not. They never produce the energy they lay claim to, are intermittent and need back-up power to operate in the first place. Extremely cost-heavy in the use of steel, rare metals and concrete, plus take up very large areas of land.

But even worse is their horrible impact on birds, bats, wildlife and humans. They kill birds and bats, drive away wildlife and have an intolerable impact on human health.

Despite the evidence produced world-wide and the countless testimonies of the people who suffer from wind turbine impacts, politicians and developers continue to throw up the same obstacles as the tobacco industry did for years.

Those who most suffer are being ignored whilst the PR companies are paid a fortune to paint a pretty story. A multi-million pound industry combined with a political agenda. And being ignored in all this is literally thousands of people up and down the country suffering the ill-health caused by the turbines.

If anybody wants to check the amount of turbines in the plans for our area start searching, the 9 we have and the 6 more Kennedy is planning is only a start.

Football strips could have been bought from the existing ‘Community Benefit’ and not used as a token bribe to try to enforce another 6 turbines on us. Community benefits or bribes can never compensate for the ill-health caused to those who are suffering from the effects from the turbines.

Whats worse is that behind the scenes the evidence is already known about the unacceptable effects but money is put before human health.

The carbon footprint generated by the manufacturing, shipping, assembling, maintaining and running these low efficiency metal monsters will not be recovered for 20 years. Before 20 years are up there will be better ways of generating power but by then the damage will already have been done. It takes politicians with courage and the moral fortitude to stand up against the greedy shills shoving this stuff down the peoples throat. Unfortunately there are not many of them left. The effects of ultra sound are being recognized as real more and more every day. I can’t wait for the lawsuits to begin. These companies need to buried in lawsuits.
