The Lochgelly Christmas Lights will be switched on tonight (Wednesday, 20th November) by previous Citizen of the Year; Bert Allan starting from 5:30pm at the Lochgelly Cross.

There will be performances from the LHS Pipe Band, the LHS Choir, and the Lochgelly Brass Band, before the switch-on, expected to happen at 6pm.

After the lights are switched on there will be a street parade down to the Town Hall, where there is a range of activities for the children, including a grotto where the children will have the opportunity to meet Mr & Mrs Claus. Stalls will be available with a range of items for sale and there will be more festive performances from the Brass Band.

Please note that glow sticks are being provided for free for the children, and that any street hawker selling glow sticks is not part of the Lochgelly Christmas Lights committee.
