Business Gateway Fife - LogoBrand new training events for practitioners and businesses working within the Creative & Cultural Industries are coming to Fife. Arranged by Business Gateway Fife in partnership with Fife Cultural Trust courses include Trading Online, Marketing Your Business and Basic Social Media.

  • Trading Online – Thurs 6 June, 9.30am to 12.30pm at Kingdom House, Saltire Centre, Glenrothes. If you’re planning to sell online then this course will help you decide how to go about getting an ecommerce website. In addition to the different options that are available we’ll also look at the legal requirements for trading online.
  • Marketing Your Business – Tues 27 August, 9.30am to 12.30pm at Kingdom House, Saltire Centre, Glenrothes. This workshop covers the role of marketing in your business. How to identify your target customers, identify the strengths and weaknesses of your competitors and carry out market research.
  • Basic Social Media – Venue and date TBC – November, 9.30am to 12.30pm This course introduces delegates to social media for business and explains how it fits in with their overall marketing strategy. Find out how to identify the best choice for your business, work out what sort of content to post and how to measure the effectiveness of your efforts.

Internet Security for Business

A special, free event to look at internet security for business is being run by Managed IT Experts Ltd on 3rd July at the Dunfermline Business Centre.

Starting with networking and refreshments at 9am the event will update businesses on the latest trends, threats and liabilities of the internet in business and advise ways to avoid problems.
