SM Jonathan Miller with the winnerLochgelly Fire Station hosted a community safety partnership computer football competition last night (Thursday 21st February). The evening was well attended with 25 young people taking part in a knockout competition which was eventually won by Callum Dunlop who defeated runner up Jordon Smith in a close final 2-1.

As well as the computer football, visitors had the opportunity to be shown around a fire appliance, watch fire safety videos, meet local community police and wardens, and learn about the dangers of drugs and alcohol from The Zone and Cluedup.

Fife Fire and Rescue Service would like to thank all the partners who made the event a success. A big thanks also goes out to Morrisons, Baynes Bakers, Greggs , Central Barbers, Fife Sports and Leisure trust, GAME in Kirkcaldy and Cobblers and Keys who all made donations to this community safety partnership event. It is planned to allow the winner the chance to defend their title in a similar event next year.
