The Royal Oak Community Club has recently announced that they are providing temporary employment opportunities for four youths in the Fife area, after a successful bid for funding from the SCVO (Scottish Council for Voluntary Organisations).

The main mission of the SCVO is to:

To support people to take voluntary action to help themselves and others, and to bring about social change

The Royal Oak sought funding, which will now provide for employment opportunities on a temporary basis. The posts are limited to the age groups of 16-19 years old to help support local youth employment.

Two positions are for general support staff, to help staff in their day to day activities, but also help with the Soft Play area which the Royal Oak will be providing for families in the Lochgelly area. The other two positions are for catering assistants to help the cook prepare meals, and help serve customers.

To apply for the positions, you must provide an up-to-date CV, and make you application through the Job Centre. Closing date for applications will be on the 28th September 2012, and interviews will be held the week after.
