Starting from Monday the 13th August, the LCDF are hoping that local business premises will dress up their premises and provide window displays that are Scottish themed to enhance and support the theme of the Lochgelly Gala; Scotland Through The Years. A secret judge will be visiting Lochgelly between the 13th August until the 18th August to judge the entrants, and the winner will be specially announced at the Lochgelly Gala and the business owners will be awarded with a prize. “The local businesses have been great in their support of the gala, and we hope the local businesses will go that wee bit further to make this gala even more special than the last one, by helping to make the celebrations even more special and colourful, as well as celebrating Scotland’s wonderful culture and humour” says LCDF chair Eileen McKenna. We look forward to seeing some creative and colourful displays from the local businesses, and we will also be out with the cameras to capture the efforts of some of the local businesses to give them free publicity online for their efforts.
