This excellent seminar was run by Master Sheena Sutherland (8th dan) and Masters Sandy Dunbar and Michael Thompson (both 7th dan) and covered technical aspects of Tae kwon do, including patterns, free and pre-arranged sparring. There were a total of around 70 participants from all over Scotland ranging from 1st kup (just below black belt) up to 6th dan. This comprehensive course ran from 10am to 4pm. Lochgelly TKD participants were Robert MacGregor (4th dan) & Stuart Reid (2nd dan), and everyone had a hard but enjoyable time. The consensus was that it was a great and very useful day of training, as it is important to maintain and improve the standard of Tae kwon do in Scotland. All Lochgelly TKD Instructors have enhanced disclosure certificates, instructor certificates and current first aid qualifications. If you have ever considered learning a martial art or even if you just want to start something to keep you fit in the long term their classes could be perfect for you.
