With the gusts of wind blasting Fife yesterday, Fife Weather, a Lochgelly weather station, had recorded gales of up to 71.7 mph in the local area. We had a look around some parts of Lochgelly to see how extensive the damage is.

Every street we went to there was visible signs of extensive wind damage, from trees being felled, greenhouses and huts collapsed, walls and fences ripped apart, car windows smashed from tiles falling of roofs.

Down at Lochgelly High School, part of the bus shelter has sheered of from it’s metal support on one side. It is barely stable on one side, but if the winds increase, it looks likely that the bus shelter will collapse.

If you have any images from the storm damage in your area, please share the images on the Lochgelly Facebook page, or email us at: info@lochgelly.org.uk
