There has been a lot of wind damage in Lochgelly today, we have reports of walls collapsing, chimneys breaking and damage to huts and greenhouses. Fife Weather a locally based weather station recorded the highest winds at 71.7mph at 9:53am today, with the wind chill temperature at -4.1 Celsius. The MET Office have issued a severe weather warning for the Central Fife area predicting that gusts could reach between 85-95 mph.
