We have been updating the site to the latest version of WordPress and while we were at it, we decided to upgrade to the latest theme version of Mystique by DigitalNature.

Since we have upgraded the theme, we lost all our previous customisations, as the updated version of Mystique using the Atom framework, basically we are going to have to start modifying our theme again, therefore, while our posts on the main pages are okay and display the way they were intended, we are going to have to change all our pages to display correctly.

We apologise for the mess of the pages at the moment and will clean them up over the next couple of days.

Contributor Accounts fixed

An earlier article was published warning people that they cannot write their own articles, this turned out to be a plugin conflict with WordPress. This has now been rectified and users can now publish their own content. Thanks to Lochgelly Tae Kwon Do for alerting us to the problem.

What’s New

The site is packed with new features using Jquery, Ajax built on the Atom framework, which gives the site a more animated and interactive feel to it. Some of the new features include:

  • Full sized banner images for featured articles, which can also be used for featured pages
  • Animated tabbed content on the sidebar
  • Removed the report comments, now comments can be issued with Karma points (+ or -), too many negative votes will hide the comments
  • Cleaner display of menus and drop downs
  • Created a G+ page for the project

We will be making changes to the pages today and tomorrow to restore the functionality of certain pages, and we are expecting to make some minor changes to the way the site works.

We hope you enjoy the new version of the site, and if you notice any errors, bugs, or have any difficulty in viewing any of the content, please let us know in the comments below, so we can work on a fix, thanks.

Hope everyone had a Merry Christmas, now to prepare for the New Year 🙂
