Share on Facebook Share on Twitter Share on Google+ Share on Reddit Share on Pinterest Share on Linkedin Share on Tumblr We recently published an article; ‘Shocking’ Fife Council Expenditure. Which stated that £160,000.00 is being spent on paying Scottish Powers £160,000.00 to remove a Power Junction box at Lochgelly Centre. This figure was quoted from a local councillor at the November Community Council meeting, we therefore assumed that this figure would be correct at face value. It has been pointed out to us by Fife Council that the figure is wrong, and less than ten times the quoted figure. Making the cost a more acceptable, less than £16,000.00 The money will not be sourced from Fife Councils core budget, but has been sourced from additional funding. We are therefore retracting our original statement of £160,000.00 costs, and would like to apologise to Fife Council for the error, and our site visitors for the misleading information. We have learned our lesson in that regardless the source and reliability of the information we receive, we will double check with a secondary source to verify the information provided to us. Again we would like to apologise to Fife Council and our site visitors for posting incorrect information.
