The Lochgelly Community Christmas Lights will be switched on the Friday 18th November, starting from 6pm, at the Lochgelly Cross.

The event will be opened with a carol service led by Lochgelly High School choir. There will also be music provided by Lochgelly High School Pipe Band, and the Lochgelly Brass Band.

Some stalls will be available on the night and Mr and Mrs Claus will be in attendance. The lights will be switched on by the Lochgelly Citizen of the Year.

After the lights have been switched on, the celebration will continue across the road at the Royal Oak Community Club and a variety of refreshments will be served.

The night will be packed with a variety of entertainment and music suitable for all ages and we hope that you will come along and join the fun.

To get into the Christmas mood, we have also updated our site with a lovely Christmas theme, we hope you enjoy the temporary new look.

Also over the next couple of weeks we have a couple of exciting new projects to help raise funds for the lights for next year that has involved several local groups, local businesses and Fife Council. We will provide an update in the next few days.
