The Community Council has been collecting donations and partially funding the Christmas Lights in Lochgelly, every year. This year they are working in partnership with the Lochgelly Community Development Forum to try and raise £4000.00 pounds so Lochgelly can have their Christmas lights switched on.

We have included a video of the Christmas Lights being switched on at the Lochgelly Centre from several years ago.

Most of the shops in Lochgelly have a collection bin for the Christmas Lights, or donations can be made by dropping into the Regeneration Forum at 30/33 Bank Street (next to the council office) or by attending the next Community Council meeting.

If everyone in Lochgelly gave £1 each, they would have no problem in raising the funds, so if you are planning to donate to a charity, why not donate to a local group instead.
