We’ve recently upgraded the site with more new security features working in the background, but out with these security upgrades we have also expanded the services available for the site.

Media Galleries

We have completely upgraded our Media section and added several new galleries. Not only are we putting up images for Lochgelly, we are now including images from all around Fife, and we would also like to capture and share images throughout Scotland.

As well as adding more new images, we also have a User Galleries section allowing anyone to upload their own images to appear on the site, and we have started a new section within the Media section that will allow you to download visually stunning Wallpapers to enhance your desktop.

Social Networking

We have been checking out a plugin that adds a localised Social Network onto the site. You can now add friends, share information, choose a user image to replace the default avatar, and send private messages back and forth throughout the site to other members. This feature is being used by a small minority, if it proves popular we will keep the feature.

We launched this feature on the 20th of August, therefore to protect the privacy of our existing members from that date, we have excluded the Social Network feature. If you want the Social Network feature enabled for your account, please leave us a comment below from your registered account to let us know you would like to use the Social Network.

You can view further information in the Social section

Community Events

We have now added a public community events calendar, while it is still in an early stage of development, it is working fine but needs more details to be added. Registered and unregistered users are able to add their own events and share their activities with our other online users.

You can view or add your events under the Events section.

Additional Features?

We are constantly on the lookout for new features to add extra functionality to the site. If you have any ideas or feature requests, please let us know in the comments below and we will see if we can make it a possibility for you, thanks.
