The Lochgelly Gala is starting at 11am at the West End Park on the 22nd August. A parade will then take place and continue towards the Public Park. Once at the Public Park there is a wide range of activities planned that will keep the whole family entertained.

Fancy Dress, Judged by Jim Leishman

To kick start the Gala, there will be a Fancy Dress competition held at the West End Park from 11am. Judging the competition will be none other, Jim Leishman, a famous footballer and football manager who was born in the local area.

The winner of the Fancy Dress competition will lead the parade through Lochgelly to the Public Park. Once at the Public Park the Gala will go into full swing.

Activities

There will be a range of stalls available, competitions, tombolas, fairground rides, and raffles. Also a range of local groups will be providing entertainment and performances. Main Performances will include:

All in all from what we have seen at the Lochgelly Community Forum office, is that the Gala will be an eventful and fun packed day for all the family.

    Hey, well done on the Gala Day…it was great! The kids totally enjoyed themselves ;-)) The Pipe band and Brass band were excellent. Thanks goes to all who organised the day and gave their time and energy voluntarily, for the benefit of their community. Well done!!!
