A parade will then take place and continue towards the Public Park. Once at the Public Park there is a wide range of activities planned that will keep the whole family entertained. Fancy Dress, Judged by Jim Leishman To kick start the Gala, there will be a Fancy Dress competition held at the West End Park from 11am. Judging the competition will be none other, Jim Leishman, a famous footballer and football manager who was born in the local area. The winner of the Fancy Dress competition will lead the parade through Lochgelly to the Public Park. Once at the Public Park the Gala will go into full swing. Activities There will be a range of stalls available, competitions, tombolas, fairground rides, and raffles. Also a range of local groups will be providing entertainment and performances. Main Performances will include: Lochgelly Tae Kwon Do The Zodiac Dance Company (who appeared on Britain’s Got Talented – http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=li588rSpyj4) Lochgelly Brass Band There is still some more groups to be added and we will update this page as soon as we have a full list. All in all from what we have seen at the Lochgelly Community Forum office, is that the Gala will be an eventful and fun packed day for all the family.
