The Community Council has announced this years Young Citizen of the Year for 2010, and held a special ceremony with buffet for this years winner.

We are pleased to be able to announce this years winner was Aaron Adie, who received his award at the ceremony held at the Royal Oak club on Wednesday, 9th of June. The award was presented to Aaron by Community Councillor and Chairperson, Mr Ernest McPherson (picture below).

Aaron Adie was given the award in recognition of his achievement of being picked to represent Scotland for the Scottish Youth International Team 2010 on behalf of SANA (Scottish Anglers National Association Ltd) which is recognised by sportscotland as the Governing Body for the Sport of Game Angling in Scotland.

We wish him every success in his competitions and hope he manages to bring back a few trophies.
