Share on Facebook Share on Twitter Share on Google+ Share on Reddit Share on Pinterest Share on Linkedin Share on Tumblr The Lochgelly Community Development Forum are holding another public meeting to organise and arrange a gala day for Lochgelly. The meetings are being attended by members of the public, Community Wardens, and Community Education Workers. There is going to be a range of activities planned, with the theme of the Gala based on bygone days, so expect a lot of activities for the kids based on old events, such as the sack race, egg and spoon race and more, while volunteers on the day will be in fancy dress. This is only a small snapshot of what will be planned for the day. The next meeting is to be held at the Regeneration Office (30/33 Bank Street, Lochgelly) at 6:30pm on Thursday the 13th May, and it is hoped that more members from the local community can attend to help arrange and organise a fun event for all the local community to enjoy. Business & Non Profit Support The LCDF are hoping that all local businesses and non profit groups can contribute to the Lochgelly Gala. Support can include financial donations, gift donations (for prizes), volunteer support, provide an activity or event, or attend the meetings to see how your business or non profit can contribute to this community event. It is also hoped, on the day of the Gala, that local businesses will participate by dressing up their business premises to help celebrate the Gala. Existing Support One local based non profit group, Recycle Fife, and another non profit group operating within the local area, Ore Valley Housing Association, have given a financial donation to the LCDF in support of the Lochgelly Gala.
