BRAG Enterprises is one of Fife’s largest social enterprises and over the past months its Motivate to Innovate Team have been hosting a series of Raising Awareness Events of “How to set up a Social Enterprise”.

Social Enterprise is a way of doing business. Social enterprises are organisations that trade goods and services for social and environmental purposes and whose profits are primarily reinvested in those purposes rather than being distributed to individuals.

You may be familiar with some national social enterprises such as Jamie Oliver’s Fifteen Restaurant or The Eden Project in Cornwall. Our aim is to offer you an opportunity to meet some individuals at a local level who have been successful in setting up their own businesses.

Have you ever thought about a recycling idea that could create job opportunities? Do you have an idea to encourage youth involvement and create employment? Is there a dormant building that could be turned into a community café? Are you motivated to create change in the community where you live? Don’t know who to turn to? Then this could be the best two hours spent in a long while!

Why not come along to Abbeyview Indoor Bowling Centre, Abbeyview on Thursday 25th March to hear from people who’ll support you; learn from mistakes made and catch up over a networking lunch of how your idea could turn into a new business.

If you are interested in finding out more, why not book your place by calling Tracey Muirhead at BRAG Enterprises ltd on 01592 780568.
