We have two video galleries to choose from, videos created by Loch of Shining Waters (LoSW) and a collection of random videos from YouTube that have been tagged with the keyword ‘Lochgelly’, or you can search for any type of video on YouTube below.

LoSW Videos

The following video collection was passed to us by Duncan McMahon from the archives of the closed charity Subliminal DIrections. As the CEO, Duncan felt that the videos were best shared, rather than be locked away. We have edited some of the footage and there is a lot more that needs editing. We have also added some of our own videos.

All of the videos in this section are sourced via YouTube and are automatically displayed on the following pages if they contain the keyword ‘Lochgelly’. There is some interesting videos, but there is also some irrelevant results on display. We will be working out a better filtering system over the next few months, to remove any irrelevant or unsuitable videos.

YouTube use Local Shared Objects (LSO) also known as ‘Flash Cookies’ which are collections of cookie-like data stored on a user’s computer. LSOs are used by all versions of Adobe Flash Player. While there is a positive use of LSOs, there is also a negative aspect of LSOs including the ability to be able to track your movement from site to site and storing a lot more information about you than normal cookies.

The worst aspect of LSOs is the amount of information they can collect and that you cannot locate them in your browser. They are not shown in the list of cookies that you can see when you take a look at the cookies that are currently saved in your web browser.

BetterPrivacy
Plugin for FireFox that allows you to see what LSOs are stored on your computer and remove them, highly recommended.

CCleaner (Windows software)
Removes LSOs from your system, clears your Internet Cache and a lot more

Flush.app (MAC software)
Removes LSOs from the MAC operating system, versions available for Tiger, Panther and newer OS X

Adobe Settings Manager
Control the content you allow on your system, storage sizes, etc. Some people might find this awkward to use, and personally I go with a 3rd-party tool.
