The Lochgelly Band are a traditional brass band based in the town of Lochgelly which is in the county of Fife in Scotland. The band were formed at some time during the early to mid 19th century although the first recorded instance of a brass band in the town dates from 1854 so this is generally regarded as the date of formation. The Lochgelly Community Council hold regular monthly meetings and occasionally sub-meetings depending on what issues the Community Council is tackling. Meetings are usually held on the second Wednesday of every month and are open to members of the public. Read More

Lochgelly Albert played their first march in 1933 and has been running a good team ever since. Lochgelly Albert nowadays relies on sponsorship to sustain the club, with the main sponsorship from local business, Purvis Plant Hire.
