Mossmorran has been fined £2.8 million for failing to report Carbon Dioxide emissions from the plant in 2008 according to the Courier. Mossmorran failed to report 33,000 tonnes of greenhouse gas emissions in 2008, which only recently came to light, and SEPA issued the fine under regulations that state $100 (USD) per tonne of emissions is imposed, a total of $3.29 million (£2.8m GDP).

Thanks to one of our site commentators, we have learned that another set of turbines have been approved that will affect the Cowdenbeath area and will possibly have a cumulative impact on the Lochgelly area.

well done on your work regards the wind farm being dumped on our door step i live in watson st cowdenbeath and i think it a disgrace that the council pass these applications without regard for the well being of the community, as for mossmorran it would be very interesting to see a survey done now [...]
