Awards

Since the creation of Lochgelly – Loch of Shining Waters, on the 1st of January 2010, the site has been very lucky to receive some awards in recognition of the site and what it aims to achieve. These awards are a great way to thank the volunteers for all their hard work into the site but it is also recognition into the great input the site has received from the local community.

Better Net Award

The Better Net Awards is an exciting new programme from UnLtd and Nominet Trust to provide individuals with funding and support to improve and encourage the development of a safe, educational and inclusive Internet. Scotland Unltd is a charitable organisation set up by seven leading organisations that promote social entrepreneurship.

Nominet Trust provide support to organisations and projects working to increase access to the internet, online safety and education.

WS Awards

Web Site Awards is a definitive “peoples” award and is awarded to acknowledge talented individuals that have striven to create a web site experience for its visitors.

WS Awards aim to give webmasters recognition for their dedication and hard work, regardless of knowledge and experience. WS Awards allow applications from almost all sites (apart from sites containing adult content) and the service is provided for free.
