Lochgelly Centre – Official Reopening (images)
The Lochgelly Centre was officially reopened on the 14th February 2012. As part of the celebration Lochgelly High School Brass Band and Choir were on hand to provide music throughout the ceremony. Councillor Brian Goodall cut the ribbon to mark the opening, and then an acrobatic performance was held on the roof of the Lochgelly Centre.
The event was well attended by members of the public, local councillors, Fife police, community councillors and the LCDF. After all the opening ceremonies and speeches, members of the public were given a chance to view the completed building. We managed to capture a range of images of the days event, published below.

Great turnout, missed it myself as had to be in Edinburgh but got back just in time to see the gymnast on the ringl Lucky her muscles were working hard or she would have been frozen.

It was a good turnout, after the ring, 2 gymnasts done a similar performance from the ceiling inside the centre. We couldn’t get any photographs though because it was too packed to get inside.
